Kruger — Shingwedzi — Northern Kruger. Elephant traffic at the water hole outside camp. One of the best.
Marakele National Park — Waterberg. Cape vulture colony — one of the largest in the world. Game viewing improving. Beautiful mountain scenery.
Lapalala Wilderness — Private, high-end, but some self-catering options. Palala River, black rhino, outstanding birding.
Bela-Bela (Warmbaths) area — Weekend staple for Pretoria families. Several good private farms and resorts with camping.
Wolkberg Wilderness — Remote hiking wilderness. No facilities. Permit needed. Worth every bit of effort.
