Good gear reviews help the whole community. Here's what makes a review actually useful:
## Include the Following
1. Context
- What were you doing? (Car camping, hike-in, overlanding, daily use)
- What conditions? (Rain, heat, cold, off-road)
- How long have you used it?
2. What it claims to do vs what it actually does
- Marketing copy is often optimistic. Call it out if the reality differs.
3. Specific strengths and weaknesses
- Not "it's great" — why is it great? Not "it's bad" — what specifically failed?
4. Value for money
- State the price you paid and where you bought it
- Is it worth it? Would you buy it again?
5. Who it's for and who it's not for
- "Great for weekend car campers, but too heavy for a serious backpacker"
## Photo Tips
- Include a photo next to something for scale
- Show the wear/condition after use
- Show the failure point if something broke

SA-specific context is extra valuable — some gear that works in Europe doesn't survive SA heat and dust.
