Top Spots

Vaal / Thukela River Fly Fishing — Thukela (Tugela) and its tributaries offer yellowfish fly fishing. Specialist rivers.

Sodwana Bay — Deep Sea Fishing — Marlin, dorado, wahoo off Sodwana. Charter boats available. World-class.

Natal Coast — Shad / Garrick Fishing — Seasonal shad (elf) runs are legendary on the KZN coast. Any beach access works in season.

Hunting — Zululand — KZN game farms offer Big 5 and plains game hunting. Mostly high-end.

Trout — Drakensberg Streams — Several trout streams in the Berg. Permits from Ezemvelo or private farms.
